John Wilkinson Family Tree
Caroline Wilkinson
Caroline
was
educated
at
Netherseal
Primary
School
and
then
Granville
School
at
Woodville.
She
used
to
play
a
lot
of
badminton
and
tennis,
entering
some
open
competitions
in
both
singles
and
doubles,
with
some
success
with
Julie
as
her
partner.
When
she
left
school,
she
had
a
succession
of
jobs
and
didn’t
seem
to
have
any
problems
when
she
decided
to
move
on.
Her
first
job
was
at
Kathglow
Ltd,
Swadlincote,
doing
admin
work
as
part
of
her
YTS
scheme.
She
then
moved
to
a
garage
at
Woodville,
Shobnall
School
in
Burton
Stafordshire
Education
Dept
at
Stafford,
Blaydon
House
School
in
Burton,
back
to
Shobnall
School,
Measham
Medical
Unit,
all
doing
predominantly
admin/secretarial
duties.
She
eventually
moved
up
to
Alnwick,
fulfilling
a
dream
she
had
always
had,
possibly
because
she
was
born
there.
She
lived
with
Eileens
mother
and
father
for
a
while,
but
eventually
rented
a
house
in
Bridge
Street
before
buying
her
own
flat
at
Kings
Street
in
Alnwick.
The
string
of
jobs
continued
there
as
she
worked
at
Wansbeck
Hospital
in
Ashington
then
the
doctors
surgery
beside
Alnwick
Infirmary,
again
admin
duties.
She
met
and
married
Carl
Brent,
a
taxi
driver
from
North
Shields,
sold
the
flat
and
bought
a
house
in
North
Shields.
The
wedding
was
a
two
day
event
with
the
actual
wedding
being
in
the
Blacksmiths
at
Gretna
Green,
followed
the
next
day
by
an
evening
buffet/disco
at
St
James
Park,
Newcastle.
The
string
of
jobs
continued.
When
she
moved
to
North
Shields,
she
worked
in
customer
services
for
Orange,
next
was
an
admin
job
at
the
Immigration
Dept
again
at
North
Shields,
then
she
moved
to
the
Quayside
at
Newcastle
working
for
the
Crown
Court
and
finally
the
County
Court.
They
have
two
children,
Oliver
Michael,
born
8
May
2006
and
Andrew
John,
born
10
March
2009.
This
has
caused
her
to
work
part
time
to juggle school and nursery duties with Carl, who works nights.
Julie Wilkinson
Julie
was
educated
at
the
same
two
schools
as
Caroline,
but
on
finishing
Granville,
she
went
to
Burton
Technical
College
for
two
years
on
a
pre-nursing
course.
When
she
finished
there,
she
got
a
job
as
a
care
assistant
at
Haunton
Nursing
Home.
She
always
wanted
to
be
a
full
time
nurse
and,
with
encouragement
from
the
Nursing
Home
staff,
she
enrolled
on
a
three
year
Nurse
training
course
at
Wolverhampton
University.
On
completing
this
in
1996,
she
got
a
job
at
Geoffrey
Hodges
wing,
a
part
of
Burton
Hospital
as
a
Staff
Nurse.
In
the
meantime
she
met,
and
married,
Richard
Smith,
a
golf
professional
at
Grimsby
Golf
Club.
Richard
was
previously
married
to
Kerry
Leigh
Bielby,
born
1969
at
Cleethorpes,
Lincolnshire.
A
short
marriage
as
they
were
divorced
in
1999.
Julie
transferred
her
job
to
Grimsby
Hospital
and
moved
to
Great
Coates,
Grimsby.
They
got
married
at
Lindisfarne
Castle
on
Holy
Island
on
29
May
2002
and
have
two
children,
Alex
James,
born
1
October
2003,
and
Summer
Louise,
born
11
December
2005.
When
she
was
old
enough,
Julie
joined
the
village
tennis
club
and
enrolled
for
junior
coaching
with
Nigel
Smith.
On
her
first
lesson,
she
was
asked
if
she
was
right
or
left
handed,
answering
“left”.
She
then
proceeded
to
hit
the
ball
right
handed
which
bemused
Nigel.
She
explained
that
she
was
left
handed
but
felt
more
comfortable
playing
tennis
right
handed.
(Her
mother
is
also
left
handed
but
plays
golf
right
handed!)
She
showed
some
promise
so
was
put
forward
to
the
county
siftings,
resulting
in
her
being
adopted
into
the
county
coaching
scheme.
This
brought
about
her
being
privately
coached
by
Eddy
Pateman
at
Allestree
Tennis
Club.
With
the
resulting
improvement
to
her
game,
she
started
entering
quite
a
few
junior
open
tournaments,
winning
the
Derbyshire,
Leicester
and
Shropshire
Under
16
events.
She
also
won
the
Derbyshire
Under
18
Closed
Tournament
when
she
was
15.
She
represented
Derbyshire
at
Junior
County
Week
at
Poole
and
joined
regional
coaching
at
RAF
Newton.
I
think
this
was
where
the
love
of
the
game
began
to
wear
off
due
to
more
emphasis
being
put
on
physical
fitness.
Star
jumps,
skipping
and
running
were
not
her
forté.
She
also
began
to
realise
the
importance
of
her
career.
Richards
business
began
to
fail
and
he
ended
up
robbing
Peter
to
pay
Paul.
He
lost
his
job
at
Grimsby
Golf
club
in
2012.
The
same
year
he
left
Julie
and
the
children.
Because
he
had
a
bad
credit
record,
Julie
had
been
the
main
cardholder
on
several
credit
cards.
She
had
also
signed
for
a
Porsche
car
he
had
bought
on
credit.
This
meant
that
she
was
responsible
for
most
of
his
debt
which
amounted
to
almost
£80,000.
Her
and
the
children
moved
back
in
with
us
and
she
returned
to
work
at
Burton
Hospital,
the
children
transferred
to
Netherseal
primary
