Siblings of Joseph Knox 1886-1979 John   Thomas   Knox    was   born   on   the   3rd   November   1883   at   Queens   Head   Yard,   Alnwick.   He   married   Annie   Mavin   in   June 1910   and   they   had   three   children,   Violet,   born   1911,   Joseph   H   M   born   1912   and   Elizabeth   A   born   1915,   all   in   Alnwick.   In   the 1911   census   he   is   listed   as   a   masons   labourer   and   the   lived   in   one   room   at   Whinhams   Yard,   Alnwick.   He   died   on   the   8th February 1949. Mary   Ellen   Knox   was   born   on   th   18th   May   1889   at   Old   Chapel   Lane,   Alnwick.   She   married   Robert   Angus   on   22nd December   1906   and   they   had   four   children,   John   born   1909,   Thomas   born   1914,   Isabella   born   1922   and   William   Knox   born 1924   all   at   Alnwick.   He   was   also   a   masons   labourer   and   they   lived   in   two   rooms   at   Stamps   Yard,   Clayport   Street   Alnwick.   Mary Ellen died in 1945 and her husband died in 1952. William    Knox    was    born    on    7th    June    1892    in    New    Row, Alnwick.   He   married   Annie   Gladden   (born   1896   in   Gateshead) in   1918   at   Gateshead   and   they   had   three   daughters,   Edna   born 1919,   Alice   born   1922   and   Gladys   born   1925,   all   in   Alnwick. William died in 1954 and Annie died in 1960. Eleanor Knox was born in 1893 in Alnwick. I can’t find any other records or information about her. Thomasina Knox was born on 2nd April 1895 at New Row, Alnwick. She died on 16th July 1896, also at New Row, Alnwick Sarah   Jane   Knox   was   born   on   2nd   May   1897   at   New   Row   Alnwick.   She   married James   Tweedy   in   1916   and   they   had   one   son   James   G.born   December   1916.   This was   after   the   death   of   his   father   who   was   killed   in   Flanders   on   9th   September   1916. She   re-married   on   29th   April   1918   at   Alnwick   Registry   Office   to   Henry   Thomas Riley   (born   1896   at   Brighton)   and   they   had   two   children,   Sarah   Elizabeth   born 25th   December   1918   and   Ernest   born   September   1922,   both   at   Alnwick.   They   move down   to   Hove   but   often   came   up   to   Shilbottle   for   their   holidays.   Harry   had   a   job   in Hove   looking   after   the   Odeon   Cinema   and   I   remember   seeing   The   Vikings   there when   it   first   came   out.   Once   when   we   were   there   I   went   with   my   mother   to   see   the wrestling   with   Jackie   Pallo   and   Steve   Logan.   Harry   died   in   1969   and   Sarah   on   the 6th August 1975. Isabella Knox was born on 7th July 1901 at 21 Clayport, Alnwick. She died young aged just 15 in 1916.
