Northumberland,
daughter
of
Thomas
Hall
and
his
wife
Isabella,
nee
Wylie.
She
was
the
youngest
of
four
sisters.
She
also
had
two
brothers.
Following
her
marriage
to
husband
John,
they
settled
at
Shilbottle.
She
developed
Type
1
diabetes
and
had
to
regularly
give
herself
insulin
injections.
This
progressed
to
gangrene
which
resulted
in
her
having
a
leg
amputated
and,
if
I
remember
correctly,
a
partial
amputation
of
her
other
leg.
She
used
to
cut
my
hair
until
mother
put
a
stop
to
it,
saying
she must have been using a bowl, not always straight.

Hall
was
born
in
1894
at
Edlingham
and
married
Frederick
W
Hewson
in
1919.
The
1911
census
gives
his
occupation
as
a
Cartman.
They had two children, Thomas and Kathy.
James
Hall
was
born
in
1895
at
Rough
Castles,
Edlingham.
He
moved
to
Coppington
with
his
parents
and
was
a
pony
driver
in
the
coal
mines.
He
married Hilda Browne in 1920. I couldn’t find any records of children.
Isabella
R
Hall
was
born
in
1897
at
Eglingham
and
married
Benjamin
Green in 1919. They had four daughters but I can’t find their names.
Robert
Hall
was
born
in
1900
at
Eglingham
and
married
Margaret
M
Clark
in
1922
at
Stakeford
and
had
four
children,
Thomas
born
1924,
Doreen
born
1926,
Robert
born
1931
and
Margaret.
He
appears
in
the
United
States
1930
Census
with
wife
Margaret
M,
but
no
children.
He
is
listed
as
being
a
bricklayer,
living
in
Holyoke
Hampden
Massachusetts.
They emigrated in 1922.
Olive
Hall
was
born
in
1903
at
Moor
Laws,
Alnwick
and
married
J
Forman. They had two children, Brenda and Brian.
